World Alzheimer's Month 2020

In the midst of COVID-19, it had not been easy for both the person with alzheimer or their caregivers. It's a challenge to change the routine of the person with alzheimer including wearing a mask, not able to go to their day care centre, to adopt a new 1-m safe distancing habit. World Alzheimer Month (WAM) 2020 overarching theme is: Enpowerment. It is 4 prong empowerment:
a. Persons Living with Dementia to live with dignity and allow them to live their lives the way they want;
b. Caregivers, to have the skills to provide quality dementia care to better support their loved ones with dementia;
c. Public, to increase their knowledge and empathy for the dementia community; and
d. Stakeholders and Partners, to come up with initiatives to better support the cause.

Please refer to WAM2020 for the series of online activities lined up.
